After installing the NTN imported bearings, it's essential to perform a thorough inspection to ensure everything is set up correctly. For smaller equipment, manually rotate the unit to check for smooth operation. Listen for any unusual noises and inspect the bearing for foreign objects, scratches, or dents. If the torque is unstable, it could be due to improper installation, incorrect clearance, or seal conflicts. If no issues are found, proceed with power-on testing. For larger machinery, manual rotation is not feasible. Instead, start the motor in no-load mode and let it idle. Check for vibrations, strange noises, and ensure that rotating parts do not come into contact. Once everything looks good, proceed with the actual operation. During power operation, begin with low speed and gradually increase the load under specified conditions. Monitor the bearing for any abnormal sounds, temperature changes, leakage of lubricant, or discoloration. If any issues arise, stop the machine and inspect it carefully. In some cases, it may be necessary to remove the bearing for a closer look. The temperature of NTN imported bearings can be estimated by checking the external housing temperature. However, for more accurate results, use an oil hole to measure the outer ring temperature directly. The bearing temperature should gradually rise during initial operation and stabilize after about 1–2 hours. If the temperature rises sharply or reaches abnormally high levels, it may indicate problems such as excessive lubricant, too small a clearance, poor installation, or seal interference. In high-speed applications, improper layout or lubrication methods can also cause overheating. To detect abnormal sounds, use a stethoscope or similar tool. Unusual noises such as strong metallic sounds, irregular or inconsistent sounds may signal issues like poor lubrication, misalignment of the shaft or housing, damaged bearings, or foreign object intrusion. Proper maintenance and regular checks are crucial to ensuring the longevity and performance of NTN imported bearings. Always follow manufacturer guidelines and consult professionals if any issues persist.
