**Windows 7**
In Windows 7, you can copy the full path of a file by checking the "Content > Security" section in the file properties. This displays both the file name and its complete path.
**In the EPDM Document Library**
When working within the SolidWorks Enterprise PDM document library, the standard file attribute dialog does not include a direct option to copy the full path. This can be a bit frustrating when you need quick access to the file location for reference or sharing.
**Tips & Tricks**
Here’s a simple trick: Hold down the **Shift key** while right-clicking on a file in the EPDM library. A context menu will appear, and you’ll see an additional option labeled **"Copy Path"**. Using this command allows you to directly copy the full file path, including the file name, enclosed in double quotes. For example:
> "D:\_EPDM test2\L1_Projects\Project # P0028\3D Design\Ball Valve\Side.SLDPRT"
This is especially useful when you need to share the exact location of a file or use it in scripts, reports, or other documentation.
