Uniaxial Geogrid – A High-Strength Reinforcement Material
Uniaxial geogrid is a high-performance geosynthetic material made primarily from high-molecular polymers, combined with anti-ultraviolet and anti-aging additives. Through a special uniaxial stretching process, the initially scattered polymer chains are aligned in a linear direction, forming a dense, continuous network structure. The material is then punched into a regular pattern of holes and stretched again to create a strong, durable geotextile. This unique manufacturing process results in a monolithic, elliptical mesh structure with uniform distribution and high interlocking strength. The final product exhibits exceptional tensile strength (100–200 MPa), comparable to low-carbon steel, far surpassing traditional reinforcement materials. Applications of Uniaxial Geogrid:

When placed beneath asphalt or concrete pavements, the geogrid helps reduce rutting depth, enhances pavement fatigue resistance, and allows for thinner layers, saving both cost and material usage.
3. **Strengthening Embankments and Retaining Walls**:
Traditional embankment construction often leads to overfilling and poor compaction at the edges, causing erosion and slope instability. Using geogrids in these structures minimizes land use, improves stability, and reduces costs by up to 50%.
4. **Reinforcing Riverbanks and Seawalls**:
Geogrids can be used in conjunction with stone cages to prevent coastal erosion and dam collapse due to wave action. Their permeable nature helps dissipate energy, prolonging the lifespan of infrastructure while reducing labor and material demands.
