Three points to prevent soybeans from falling

Soybean is a kind of thin stem crop with a high planting density. Generally, 8500-10000 plants per acre (667m2) are planted, and there is often a lodging phenomenon. Lodging has a greater impact on soybean yield. The heavier the lodging, the greater the reduction in yield. The earlier the lodging occurs, the more the yield is reduced.

Reasons for soybean lodging:

1. Some plants have higher planting stalks and thinner stalks, which are suitable for low- and medium-water-fertilized land and belong to sorghum-tolerant varieties. Such a variety of high water and fertilizer land is prone to cause lodging. Plant density is too large.

2, poor wind transmission, plant stems are weak, high but not strong, easy to cause lodging. Sticky sowing soybeans, cultivating cockroaches is not good, soy roots are poorly developed and easy to fall.

3, the seedlings are not enough, the soil nitrogen fertilizer is too much, will cause the plant to grow and fall.

4, soybean branching and flowering period, even cloudy and rainy, plants are long, or in the later storms, it will also cause lodging.

How to prevent soybeans from lodging:

First, according to the characteristics of planting varieties and local environmental conditions, determine the reasonable planting density and planting method, the density of the land with good fertility should not be too large;

Second, rational fertilization, coordination of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ratios, avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer;

The third is timely cultivating, promoting the development of soybean roots and enhancing the ability of soybeans to resist lodging. Fourth, timely application of plant growth regulators according to local soybean growth and weather trends. The role of the regulator is mainly to reduce plant height and internode length, increase stem diameter, and thus enhance soybean lodging resistance.
