What is the difference between a new energy battery and a traditional car battery?

The power battery used in new energy vehicles is a lithium battery, and the battery used in a conventional automobile is a lead battery. Therefore, the difference between a new energy battery and a conventional automobile battery is still large.
First of all, from the perspective of battery materials, the lithium battery pack used in new energy vehicles is made of metal lithium aluminum alloy and lithium ion polymer; the lead storage battery is made of metal lead and lead dioxide. From the price point of view, the materials used in lead batteries are cheaper than the materials used in lithium batteries, so the overall price of the batteries is also cheaper.
In terms of energy density, the lithium battery used in new energy vehicles has a higher energy density, which can reach 200-260 wh/g. The lead storage battery used in traditional automobiles has a lower energy density and can only reach 50~70 wh. /g. And under the state of the art, the energy density of the lithium battery pack is constantly increasing, and the energy density of the lead storage battery can only be maintained substantially unchanged.

Then there is the service life. Lithium battery packs used in new energy vehicles have a longer service life than lead batteries used in conventional vehicles. The number of cycles of lithium battery packs can be up to 2,000 times. The number of times that lead batteries in traditional cars are used for cyclic charging is generally around 300-350 times.
