Russia develops a highly stable perovskite production method

Researchers at the Ural Federal University in Russia developed the world's first industrial synthesis method of highly stable perovskite through high-temperature anti-solvent chemical treatment. Perovskite is a new type of material in the energy and electronics fields that has received extensive attention in recent years. The new Russian method will expand the possibility of efficient use of perovskite. Related research results were published in the journal "Semiconductor Process Materials Science".

Perovskite is a mineral with a cubic crystal structure. Since 2012, perovskite has been widely studied by researchers around the world as a potential new material, especially in the field of solar energy. At present, the efficiency of perovskite batteries has reached about 25%, which is comparable to semiconductors, and the manufacturing technology is simple. From paper to cloth can be the base of perovskite materials. However, the existing production method cannot guarantee the stability of the perovskite material. At room temperature, the perovskite film will degrade within a few hours, so the practical application of the perovskite is still limited.

The researchers of Ural Federal University found that the perovskite powder developed by them has high stability. During the observation period of one year, the characteristics of this material have not changed, and it is completely suitable for technical use.

Research author Kumar Manavalan, a researcher at the Department of Magnetics and Magnetic Nanomaterials at Ural Federal University, said that through high-temperature antisolvent chemical treatment, they successfully synthesized a series of perovskite powders: MAPbI3, MAPbBr3, FAPbI3, FAPbBr3, CsPbI3 and CsPbBr3. He said: "This production method is very simple and does not take a lot of time."

Kumar Manavalan said that through research, it has been found that high crystallinity and reduced grain boundaries have improved the stability of perovskite materials, which provides a good opportunity for making full use of this material in the future. He said: "In fact, we are the first team to find a way to produce perovskites on a large scale."

It is reported that during the research and development process, the experts of Ural Federal University also studied the structure, optics and morphology of perovskite, and for the first time studied the change of perovskite with temperature. In the future, the research team also plans to improve the technology to achieve commercial applications. (Reporter Dong Yingbi)

Pyrite as Fillers Used in Grinding Wheels/ Abrasive Tools

Ablation grinding wheel / abrasive( filling agent )

PYRITE__As fillers used in grinding wheels/ abrasive tools

Place of Origin: Henan Luoyang, China

Pyrite, Iron pyrites, pyrites lump, Ferro sulphur, Pyrites powder.

Product Description

Detailed introduction:  is filling agent for ablating grinding wheel abrasive, which can effectively reduce the grinding wheel temperature during ablation, improve the heat resistance, and prolong the service life of the grinding wheel.

Formation of a protective layer
(1)The reaction absorbing oxygen occurs between 400 and 475 degrees, thereby reducing the oxidation of resin, reducing the oxidation burn of workpieces, and prolonging the working life of grinding wheels at high temperature.

4 FeS2 + 11 O2→2 Fe2O3 + 8 SO2
(2) 4 FeS + 7 O2→4 Fe2O3 + 4 SO2

400-475 degrees is a limit that the grinding wheel can easily reach. The above reaction creates an oxygen-free and hypoxic environment for the grinding wheel at the micro level, thereby improving the high-temperature performance of the grinding wheel.
Decomposition reaction occurs at 650-degree heat absorption, thereby reducing the working temperature of the grinding wheels.

FeS2→FeS + S
(3) It enters the melting state at about 1100 degrees, which becomes a good lubricant to protect the grinding wheel FeS(s)→FeS(l).

(4)Sulfur, sulfur dioxide and sulfur trioxide react with the workpiece surface to form FexSy:
