In order to further promote the second "Qinghu Fire" campaign and ensure the stability of the city's fire safety situation, officials from various government departments in Ordos City have conducted extensive inspections across multiple sectors ahead of the Spring Festival. These efforts aim to identify and address potential fire hazards, ensuring a safer environment for residents during the holiday season.
On January 15th, Deputy Leader of the Hangjinqi People’s Government and Director of the Public Security Bureau, Dewu Liji, led a team comprising representatives from public security, fire control, and safety supervision to conduct a comprehensive inspection at key locations such as the Hangjinqi Bus Station, Ovis Vuitton Hotel, and Haichang Shopping City. At the bus station, Dewu Liji reviewed the station’s fire safety measures and inspected critical items like fire extinguishers and emergency hammers. At the hotel and shopping mall, he examined fire facilities, escape routes, storage areas, and kitchen environments. He also visited the fire control room and video surveillance center, emphasizing the importance of strict fire safety management, especially during the busy Spring Festival period when fire incidents are more likely to occur.
On January 17th, Wu Xiangguo, Deputy Head of the Wushenqi Government, led an inspection team that included members from public security, fire control, transportation, and other relevant departments. The focus was on checking fire safety protocols at the Lulutu Town Passenger Bus Station, including evacuation routes, emergency lighting, and fire equipment. Employees were also tested on their ability to use fire extinguishers and manage emergency situations. Later, the team visited the Wushenqi Pingan Taxi Company, where they discussed preparations for the Spring Festival and emphasized the need for improved driver management and service quality.
Meanwhile, Wang Deqiang, Deputy Leader of the Zhungeer People’s Government and Director of the Public Security Bureau, led another inspection team to local shopping centers and markets. At the Xinglong Market, he closely examined the market’s fire safety systems, including staff responsibilities, fire equipment, and employee knowledge of fire prevention. After the inspection, Wang urged the market’s management to strengthen internal safety measures and create a comprehensive prevention system. He also called for increased law enforcement and community involvement to foster a safer environment for everyone.
These large-scale fire safety inspections by government leaders demonstrate the strong commitment of Ordos’ authorities to maintaining public safety. By addressing potential risks and promoting awareness, these efforts contribute to a stable and secure fire safety environment throughout the city.
