Inner Mongolia Graphene Materials Research Institute was formally established. This is China's first comprehensive research institute and technology development center related to graphene materials. It is mainly engaged in the research and development of new varieties, new processes, new equipment and new technologies of graphene materials, product standard formulation and quality supervision and testing. It is understood that Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is one of the main reservoir areas of China's crystalline graphite ore and one of the major production areas of flake graphite. It is also one of the three largest graphite mine production bases in China. The establishment of the institute will help Inner Mongolia to seize the commanding heights of the development and utilization of graphite strategic resources and provide scientific support for local energy transformation and upgrading.
