Cycloid reducer definition:

A cycloid reducer is an advanced mechanical transmission system that operates based on the planetary gear principle, utilizing the meshing of a cycloidal gear with pin gears. This type of reducer is commonly used in applications where high torque and precise motion control are required. The mechanism consists of three main components: the input section, the减速 (speed reduction) section, and the output section. The input shaft is connected to a double eccentric sleeve that is offset by 180 degrees. As the input shaft completes one full rotation, the eccentric sleeve also rotates once, causing the cycloidal wheel to rotate one tooth in the opposite direction, effectively reducing the speed. The reduced-speed motion from the cycloidal wheel is then transferred through a W-shaped output mechanism using pin shafts, which ultimately drives the output shaft at a much slower speed than the input. This design allows for high efficiency, compact size, and smooth operation, making the cycloid reducer ideal for industrial automation, robotics, and precision machinery. Its ability to maintain accuracy while handling heavy loads makes it a popular choice in modern mechanical systems.
