United States:
According to the US Manufacturing Technology Association, the total output value of machine tools in the United States in April was $392 million, up 9.8% from the same period last year, but down 20.4% from March this year. From January to April this year, the total output value of machine tools was 1.62 billion US dollars, an increase of 3.0% from January to April last year.
Japan:
According to the Japan Machine Tool & Tool Manufacturers Association, the total output value of Japanese machine tools in April was 121.88 billion yen, the first decline since this year, a decrease of 5.0%; an increase of 48.7% over the same period last year.
