Latex paint production process

Latex paint is a common type of architectural coating products, generally composed of emulsions, pigments, fillers, additives and water. Emulsion is the most important raw material affecting the performance of latex paints, usually synthetic resin emulsions. Compared with other coatings, the production process of latex paints is relatively complicated. The latex paint production process mainly has the following major steps:

1. Put water on;

2. Distributing the microbicide;

3. Put into a film forming aid;

4. Putting thickener;

5. Putting a pigment dispersant;

6. Putting antifoaming agent and wetting agent;

7. Putting in pigment and filler;

8. Putting the emulsion;

9, pH adjuster;

10. Put in other additives;

11. Place a water and/or thickener solution.

Latex paint production process operation procedures:

The water is first placed in a high-speed mixer, and a microbicide, a film-forming aid, a thickener, a pigment dispersant, an antifoaming agent, and a wetting agent are sequentially added at a low speed. After mixing uniformly, the pigment and filler are slowly sieved into the vortex stirred by the impeller. Shortly after the addition of the pigment filler, the abrasive material gradually thickened. At this time, the distance between the impeller and the bottom of the paint mixing bucket should be adjusted to make the vortex into a shallow basin. After the addition of the pigment filling, the impeller speed is increased (the linear speed of the wheel edge is about 1640 m/min). In order to prevent the temperature from rising too much, it should be stopped to cool down, and the pigment and filler adhered to the barrel edge should be scraped off during parking. The fineness of the blade is measured at any time, and when the fineness is qualified, the dispersion is completed. After the dispersion is completed, the emulsion, the pH adjuster are gradually added at a low speed, and other additives are added, and then the viscosity is adjusted with water and/or a thickener solution, and the discharge is sieved.
